Originally from Quebec, Karolanne Toulouse completed her medical degree at McGill University, following a Master’s degree in Neurosciences where she investigated the cellular mechanisms of epileptogenic encephalopathies  at CHU Ste-Justine. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Neurosciences from Université de Montréal. During her medical training, she conducted research at the Montreal Neurological Institute, analyzing open neuroimaging datasets to study brain health. She hopes that one day a subspecialty of neurosurgery will steal her heart, but for now she remains captivated by anything made of neurons.
