Dr. Jennyfer Galdino Chaves
Dr. Chaves is an Adult and Paediatric Spine Deformity Neurosurgeon in the Section of Neurosurgery at the University of Manitoba. Originally from Brazil, she completed medical school at Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), followed by neurosurgical residency at the Cajuru Hospital - Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUC-PR).
She completed a robotic and anterior approach fellowship in Melbourne, Australia in 2021. After that, she did a Spine fellowship at the University of Manitoba in 2022 followed by an Adult and Paediatric Spine Deformity fellowship in Sydney, Australia in 2023-2024. Her last Spine fellowship was at the Western University of Ontario in 2025.
Dr. Chaves’s clinical and research interests include Paediatric and Adult spine deformity, Robotic surgery, Endoscopy, Spine Oncology and Brain trauma.
