Dr. Alysa Almojuela

Dr. Alysa Almojuela completed a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at the University of Manitoba in 2012. She completed her medical degree, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Medicine from the University of Manitoba in 2016. She then completed neurosurgery residency in 2022 while also completing her Master of Science in Surgery. Finally, she went on to complete a Complex Spine Fellowship at the University of Calgary in 2023.

She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and has successfully completed AO Global Spine certification. 

Her practice includes general neurosurgery and a wide breadth of spinal conditions pertaining to degenerative conditions, oncology, trauma and infection. Her interests include minimally invasive treatments for spinal disorders, quality improvement with respect to patient outcomes in spine surgery, and medical education.
