The Section of Neurosurgery at the University of Manitoba is pleased to welcome Dr. Anton Fomenko and Dr. Jennyfer Galdino Chaves to our clinical faculty. Dr. Fomenko joined the section in August 2025 as a functional and epilepsy neurosurgeon with fellowship training from the University of Toronto, bringing expertise in deep brain stimulation, neuromodulation, and surgical treatment of refractory epilepsy. Dr. Chaves joins the Section in January 2026 as an adult and paediatric spine deformity neurosurgeon, with extensive international fellowship training in robotic surgery, endoscopy, spine oncology, and complex deformity surgery. Her background includes advanced training in Australia and Canada, with a strong focus on both paediatric and adult populations. We are delighted to welcome Drs. Fomenko and Chaves and look forward to the significant contributions they will make to patient care, education, and research in Manitoba.
